Instructions
In a large bowl, mix ground beef, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon baking powder. Mix gently until the meat is evenly seasoned.
Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef mixture and cook, stirring occasionally, for 8 to 10 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of all-purpose flour with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix until the mixture is smooth and slightly sticky.
Place 4 hamburger buns on a plate. Warm them slightly in a toaster or oven. Spread a thin layer of the cheese-flour mixture onto each bun.
Place a cooked patty on top of each bun. Add a small amount of shredded cheddar cheese on top of each patty. Serve immediately.
